We collect the following information when you use AI Duet:

• Account Information: Email address and hashed password when you register, or name and email via Google OAuth.
• Usage Data: API request logs including timestamps, token counts, model used, and associated costs. We do not store the content of your API requests or responses.
• Payment Information: Payment transactions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To process billing and manage your account balance
• To send service-related notifications (e.g., low balance alerts)
• To monitor and prevent abuse or unauthorized access

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with:

• AI Model Providers: Your API requests are forwarded to upstream model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) for processing. These providers have their own privacy policies.
• Payment Processors: Stripe processes payments on our behalf.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Retention

Account information is retained while your account is active. Usage logs are retained for 90 days for billing reconciliation. You may request account deletion by contacting us.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• API keys are stored as cryptographic hashes, never in plain text
• Passwords are hashed using secure algorithms
• All data in transit is encrypted via TLS
• Infrastructure hosted on Cloudflare's global network

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (JWT tokens stored in localStorage). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics services that track individual users.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data via the Dashboard
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your usage data

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
